      These folk tales are very familier ones to every Japanese young and old. Nicely illustrated.

      Originally published in 1953 and had it's 38th printing in 1990. There are twenty stories in this collection with simple plot lines, one-dimensional characters, good versus evil and a moral lesson. Timeless childhood favorite.
