Play for me the same tunes,
But please keep the volume down—
Keep it down, lest I prepare to
Take my head and try to bash
In my own skull.
The events of today have seen
Me through enough mental torture,
And all I have the energy
Left to do is cry.
Is there room for one more tiny
Fist in the air—not making that
Much difference because I hate
This experience all the same.
Nausea at the highest point
At the mere thought of having
To go back to the wasteland,
Which has nothing to offer
I refuse! I refuse!
Wild horses couldn’t tear me
From this place, although it is
The bane of my existence—
The lesser of two evils.
How can I lower myself to the
Same, pitiful level?
Disgusting that kind of thing
Should try to determine one’s fate,
Although I find it no point to debate
Because it will not happen either way!

Hear the silence of the day,
As the world has a remarkable
Way of slowing itself down.
In the process of rejuvenation,
Extra things get added into the mix—
Trying to highlight sad overtones,
Such as love, no longer exists.
Could it be the case, yes it is,
In some people’s lives.
But, at this point, I simply do not
Care because I have slowed so much
That the world thinks nothing
More of my existence.
Slowed, such a delicate word to
Use under these circumstances,
Leaving out the harsh realities
Therein, no one can take the blame
For their own lives for which
They should wake.

Icon of the Germanic legend,
Tragic lovers are the best,
So much to say about the tale has
Stuck with the man for centuries,
Possibly more.
Bring in the light of day;
There’s those who have learned
From the mistake, but the world
Does not care much for their tale.
They find beauty in the tragedy
And remain to let themselves
Know that
