Reviews for Love Letters to Writers

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This is yet another Amazing book from an Amazing writer. Although I don’t personally know Andi Cumbo-Floyd, I am a devoted fan of her work and that’s what I love so much about this book. While reading it you truly get to know her personally, not only as a writer but as a loving mother, farmer, friend, daughter and devoted wife.
What I like best of all is that it is formatted in the form of a diary which, not only gently guides you deep inside the author’s true thoughts and feelings, but makes you feel as though you’ve gained entrance into a top secret vault of wisdom.
I’ve learned so much from this book in such a short time. Seriously, while I was reading this book, I felt as though I was sitting with my closest friend who was sharing all of the knowledge she had gained from all of her vast experiences with me. It was warm and inviting and I couldn’t put it down.
Not only is this a wonderful read, but it’s an exceptional reference to keep for later as the writer graciously includes the names of other great writers and podcasters, and their works, many I have never heard of, as well as great links to more useful sources.
This little book packs a powerful punch. It has information that will serve all writers well, yet it is also the tale of a loving family struggling through life’s ups and downs. It’s inspiring and motivational and I honestly believe non-writers would gain insight from it as well.
It has certainly encouraged me to keep going with my own works and to understand that I am never truly alone in my endeavors. This author also warmly invites all writers to come together for support, feedback and comfort through her social media pages. I honestly don’t think any writer could ask for more. It’s so very rare to find a writer who, through her words and pages, becomes a true and sacred part of your life, but Andi Cumbo-Floyd does exactly this.
I highly recommend this book to all writers, whether new or experienced. It truly offers something for everyone.
