      CHAPTER 1 – THE OBSESSION

      Risha and Madhu were orphans who grew up together in an orphanage. They both knew each other since the age of 3 and were best friends. Madhu was a effeminate boy since childhood and was a target for bullying by the other kids. Which made Madhu possessive and in love of Risha as she always protected Madhu and couldn’t bear to get separated from Risha even for a day. They always shared everything since childhood. They ate, slept and lived together every single moment.

      Years passed and Madhu’s obsession for Risha increased with time. Once when the orphanage manager had brutally hit Risha with a stick, Madhu locked his room from outside and poured kerosene and lit it. The manager was charred to death and the case was registered as a case of accidental death.

      Life seemed to go smoothly until the arrival of Nishaan in the orphanage. Nishaan was 2 years older than Disha and Madhu. He was 15 years old when he joined the orphanage. Risha was instantly attracted to Nishaan who reciprocated her feelings. They both started to spend more time together which made Madhu jealous.

      He tried various things to separate them but it always brought them closer together. Nishaan felt irritated by Madhu always being the third wheel in their relationship but he tolerated him because of Risha. Risha always cared about Madhu which made Nishaan irritated.

      As each of them reached the age of 18 all three had to leave the orphanage and live by themselves. Risha rented a room in a hostel and worked part-time while studying while Madhu too stayed in a boys hostel. They both got into college in government quota seats paying minimum fees.

      Nishaan had also left the orphanage 2 years ago and was also working part-time and studying. Risha and Nishaan’s relationship was blossoming into love with each day.

      Madhu studied hard and became a psychologist with specialisation in hypnotherapy as well, while Risha and Nishaan completed their B.Tech and became software engineers.

      One day Nishaan proposed to Risha who accepted it happily much to Madhu’s suffering.

      It was not like Madhu wanted to marry Risha but what she feared most was if Risha would marry Nishaan then she would be separated from her soulmate and can only meet her for 1-2 hours a day at the maximum.

      She tried her best to stop the marriage as the saying goes, marriages are made in heaven. Risha and Nishaan got married and set up their own nest and lived happily.

      CHAPTER 2 – A WELL LAID PLAN

      It had been six months since Risha had married Nishaan. Madhu was getting mad as he had to stay away from Risha and couldn’t bear it.

      At one time, Nishaan had been sent to Chennai on company work and so Madhu came to give Risha company till his return later that night.

      This is ridiculous said Madhu angrily.

      I know, I have also tried to reason out with Nishu but he is adamant that he wants me to quit the job and be a housewife as she earns well enough for both of us. He is unable to see my point of view lamented Risha.

      I always knew he was a male-chauvinist pig. That’s why I was against you marrying him Madhu said gritting his teeth.

      Oh come on Madhu, not again Risha tried to calm her friend "He is not so bad. He helps
