About this ebook
Peter Gord is a simple man with simple tastes. He loves cooking and baking, window shopping for bakeware and kitchen appliances and checking out the latest cookbooks.
Unemployed Peter enjoys these things in between doing the housework.
And Peter's greatest pleasure is fantasizing about murdering his wife Delores.
Brash, overbearing Delores, takes every opportunity to belittle Peter.
In his mind, Peter gets his revenge by slashing her throat or baking ground glass into her cookies.
When Peter finally gets a job with a local charity helping the poor and homeless, his fantasies become darker and more brutal.
Of course he wouldn't really act on them..Would he?

Introduction
Nobody does murder quite like the British.
In what other country would you hear the murderer calmly discussing how she bludgeoned her husband to death whilst offering the arresting detective a nice cup of tea?
I’ve always been a huge fan of such shows as Midsommer Murders, Wire In The Blood and others. Growing up, I fell in love with Margaret Rutherford’s portrayal of Miss Marple. When I was older, I’d be allowed to watch a tv series called Thriller. On some occasions the stories would be supernatural or horror themed, but for the most part they were murder stories. The stories would either involve someone planning the perfect murder, trying to kill a witness to a murder or a potential murder victim being trapped.
These shows and movies such as Twisted Nerve certainly thrilled and entertained me but they also fired up my imagination which is how you come to be holding this book right now.
I wanted to write my own murder story.
Peter, Peter Pumpkin Eater isn’t a whodunnit per se, but more of a what will the murderer do after they did it.
I hope
You enjoy my take on the British murder genre.
Now let me tell you why I simply had to murder Aunt Mabel and bury her in the coal shed. Oh, could I offer you a cup of tea? A scone perhaps?
Murderously Yours,
Michael J Elliott
Chapter 1
Peter Gord was toying with the idea of cutting out her tongue.
That Mary Tyler is nowt but a skyver. Rings up t’shop t’say she’s too sick to come in. I ask yer.
Oh that’s a shame dear.
, Peter replied nonchalantly.
A cold, I ask yer. T’country would be in right pickle if we all took time off for a simple cold.
.
Your right dear.
Of course Gladys and meself ‘ad to work twice as ‘ard. We were rushed off our feet in that shop.
That’s a shame dear. Take the weight off your feet and I’ll make you a nice cup of tea.
Delores Gord sat down at the kitchen table with a bone weary sigh. Nothing like audio to add to the effect, thought Peter.
What are you cooking?
" Coq Au Vin, dear. "
Delores wrinkled her nose in distaste, More foreign muck. I don’t know why you don’t cook sommat decent. Now I’d be quite partial to a nice plate of tripe and onions; especially after the day I’ve ‘ad.
Peter gripped the vegetable knife harder. His knuckles turned white. He
