Jen Selinsky was born in Pittsburgh, PA. In 2003, she earned her bachelor's degree in English from Clarion University of Pennsylvania. In 2004, she earned her master's degree in library science from the same school. Jen has worked as a professional librarian for over twelve years. I stood in a field, trying to get some portion of me to commune with nature. Part of me thought that it would never work, however, because I am not much of an outdoors person.
One of those people who grew up with me would do whatever she could to describe ourselves as Gen-Ys. It all came from the whole generation X thing in which some of our younger parents grew up.
We live in a world inundated by vast and plentiful technology. None of it has really escaped me, like it has with the older generation because I am a technophile! I love gadgets—everything from 3D printers to pens that write in metallic colors. Everything man-made is technology. At least, that is how most people see it.
Mom and Dad told me that I was very inquisitive when I was young, as if I don’t even remember. They also told me not to touch certain things or they would break.
I think Mom might have been referring to something along the lines of her fine china. She didn’t have to worry because I was never interested in delicate little saucers and plates.
It was a different story though when my father caught me taking apart his Hewlett Packard computer. He
