I smile up at him with a hint of flirtation. Just one more dive. I won't be long.
Mark, the Dive Crew Manager for the day, looks up at the darkening sky.
Clouds gather above the port of Alexandria in the distance, a bruised vortex against the minarets of the city. Water slaps roughly on the hull. The wind picks up, the sea louder now as the turquoise Mediterranean turns to violet capped with white foam. A chill sweeps around the boat, hunting for cracks to force itself into.
