      Opening Statement

      CONNECTING THE DOTS WITH SPIRITUAL witness protection is crucial for today’s believers as they struggle with purpose and God’s mission. This book explains the truth of a believer’s existence and the role we must play in order to be successful. As we go through life accomplishing those feats that are necessary for survival, God allows a variety of experiences and opens windows (sometimes only a crack) so we can sow a seed of hope in others! In so doing, we become a crucial witness against Satan’s program, in need of divine protection. This doesn’t occur overnight. There are several obstacles that we must overcome beginning with ourselves. How we understand and operate in church assemblies is also crucial to God’s ongoing protection. Many times, our church assemblies can be our greatest challenge. Nevertheless, God needs true witnesses in every corner of the earth- our homes, jobs, and church houses all require Godly representation. Despite opinions to the contrary, readers will discover the safest place on earth is fulfillment in being a true witness!

      Introduction

      HISTORICALLY, OUR NATION HAS PROVIDED a program to protect witnesses in critical court cases. Such cases often hinge on the testimony of individuals who have personal, eyewitness accounts of criminal activity. Loss of such a witness could result in a mistrial or case dismissal. The threat of not having justice served on a known criminal (e.g. Satan or unrepentant people) puts all at risk for potential danger. In addition, the criminal escapes justice and the rehabilitation that goes with it. The government ensures that crucial witnesses receive the highest form of protection. Their family members have old identities erased and new names within new communities or cities are acquired. Moreover, there are strict guidelines for the witness to observe so that the program is successful.

      God has a similar program for those who come out of the shadows to serve as witnesses against Satan. It’s designed to protect them as they speak out concerning areas of known criminal activity upon their lives and the lives of others. For our safety, it also requires that we observe God’s mandates for living under the new program, or covenant agreement.

      According to Scripture, Satan has a three-phase mission: to steal, kill, and destroy that which is spiritual on earth. In order to win and be protected throughout the battle, Christians must trust and adhere to God’s program, and persevere as witnesses.

      To accomplish this process, it is pertinent that we refocus our priorities. How we deal with our personal struggles, our faith walk, our church service, and our understanding of God’s purpose for us will be the platform that hinders or propels us forward. As in the game of football or any other sport, the witness must avoid common penalties that threaten his or her forward movement, and adversely affect the team.

      Since we often overlook how powerful our mission should be in the workplace, this book unfolds God’s constant involvement in our places of employment, from the first day He employs us. We will come to see that a number of character-building processes take place during the course of a witness’s lifetime. This includes the trust God displays in us when He allows Satan to impact our lives and our need as witnesses to prepare for the worst of fiery trials. All of the above goes hand-in-hand with divine witness protection. Our lives and our testimony must work together to be assured of God’s protection. This is a foundational biblical principle that we see unfolding over and over in the lives of God’s people. In short, witness protection comes from following the requirements of the witness protection program!

      There are many court dates involved with our witness. We can’t overlook the importance of these dates no matter how insignificant the timing is to us. Heaven has orchestrated these moments and conditioned the witness and the recipient. Since God establishes all spiritual events in the fullness of time, we can be confident of the role we must play and the manner in which it plays out. This type of lifestyle demands a walk by faith, not by sight (2 Corinthians 5:7).

      The Christian agenda has been described in many ways, but above all, we are expected to be witnesses. This study will show that it’s the safest place on earth for it comes with divine, witness protection!

      Let’s delve into this mystery and find out what God intended all along for Christians.

      The Day God Trusted the Witness into Battle

      LIKE THE ATTORNEY GENERAL’S OFFICE, God performs an assessment of the risks and dangers that lie ahead of us. He is careful to note what will befall us with every mission we undertake. It is so strategically planned that God even recognizes and makes alternate provisions for our personal criminal activities– those areas where we have struggled, which can jeopardize the protection program. It’s crucial to realize that this battle didn’t come without strategic planning and a release for duty. Just as Moses was called as a witness to rekindle a fire of deliverance in Exodus 3, so are we called to step out of familiar territory into our destiny and witness!

      Yes! The ol’ comfort zone. We are conditioned to operate within the limits of our chosen environments. The trials and stresses that we face are challenging, but in the end it’s called life. Before we get released into battle, God allows us to go through a series of issues in life. These experiences are meant to condition us to succeed in battle and not surrender to defeat. It gives us a first hand look at the wrong side of the law, revealing what we should and should not do. Moreover, it’s meant to teach us that there’s a common source for our grief– Satan! Knowledge of his purpose and his tactics quickly enables us to build portfolios that will aide in having a victorious future.

      We plan well in advance for life on a bed of roses, but even that life has thorns. I often take a step back and peruse my existence. It hasn’t been without thorns by a long shot. Many thorns come from attempts to fit into society’s mold regarding life and the pursuit of happiness. Please let me warn you before you waste precious years pursuing the same: God has cornered the market in this area! He has made it such that fullness of peace, joy, and happiness will never occur apart from a sincere relationship with Him. How awesome He truly is! He created us and gave us the power to choose our course in life, but He reserved the best of life for those who establish and keep a relationship with Him. How does He accomplish this? He allows life with its disappointments, trials, and tribulations to take its toll on us. It will run its course and leave us questioning the true essence of our existence and purpose.

      That’s where God meets us, at the crossroads in our lives. They are carefully planned with crucial decisions in mind. Like a TV game host, questions are presented to us in an effort to see if we will advance in this game of life, or lose ground based on the wrong decision. We experience discomforts with life on a daily basis. After running from the law, Moses spent lots of time in the discomfort zone, concerned about his people (the Hebrews), weighing issues of right and wrong, and assessing his own life. As with Moses, God puts a burning desire within each of us who are sensitive to what is right and what is divine. The word divine replaces what is good or what feels good and captures the heavenly component of spiritual joy and happiness on earth. It’s not built on that which is superficial, but that which is permanent and without sorrow. So we develop an incurable desire, or at the very least a curiosity to see something change for the better or know that we can change for the better. After days, months, and years of trying it our way we arrive at a crossroad. We need to see this as it is- unavoidable! It is a place of decision! It’s a place of heartache and aloneness. It’s where we stop looking down and around and realize we can only look up. God steps into this predetermined crossroad event and encourages us to do the right thing. It can’t be done apart from Him. Oftentimes our motive is right but our efforts fall short. Again, this is by necessity so that we sign up with the winning team and are prepared for battle against a common spiritual enemy.

      Rest assured that you’ve never been more accompanied as during the dark hours of decision.

      So God presents the prospective witness an option at the crossroad. Are you willing to admit you are wrong about how you have lived your life? Are you willing to embrace His program that guarantees protection? Will you let Him show you a winning strategy for the challenging issues in your life? Careful before you answer! While you want to be sure you’re making the right decision, you will find as life progresses that there’s only one answer for all the above: yes! If you answer no, then it’s back on the potter’s wheel, back for another round in the wilderness of life, back into the delusion that Satan has created in your mind and heart. Please know that all of heaven is pulling for you at this moment! Though you may feel alone and that the world is against you, consider this silence a pause that will break into heavenly praise when you make the right decision. Rest assured that you’ve never been more accompanied as during the dark hours of decision. Heaven is watching, praying, and anticipating your response. You feel all alone because only you can and must make this decision. The stakes
