SHOCK
About three years ago (2007), prior to having cervical spine surgery, I underwent an MRI of the cervical spine. I had endured pain and suffering for many years and I needed to put an end to it.
After the MRI was read, I received a telephone call from a doctor I had never met or heard of. He told me he was covering for my doctor, and that the results of the MRI showed not only my neck problems but also that parts of my brain were missing, and that there was fluid on the brain.
He then instructed me to go to the emergency room for a CT scan. He told me that it was imperative that I do this immediately or I could die.
He also told me that if I did not have a ride to the hospital, they would call an ambulance for me. I asked him to slow down, because this was serious news coming from a total stranger. I told him he needed to speak English that I could understand. This all sent me into a state of panic. He had just taken 54 years off my life with what he had told me.
This discovery was the first time in my life that I had ever heard any of this. After I hung up the phone, I started calling all of my doctors while driving to the hospital. My MRI and CT were done quickly. I also talked to the neuro -radiologist after the tests were done. He was very good with me. He showed me the films, and explained everything in great detail. He also told me that this was a congenital anomaly
which happened before I was even born, and that it was probable that nobody knew about it. My blood pressure was slowly going through the roof. I called everybody including my pastor to pray for me. I was alone and scared to death!
I had never gone to an emergency room and got taken care of so quickly. From the way the doctor talked to me on the phone, I thought I was going to die at any moment.
The emergency room staff got me to radiology within minutes. I had an MRI as well as a CT scan of my brain.
The test results from an April 2007 MRI showed absence of the posterior body and splenium of the corpus callosum,
which is a congenital anomaly present since birth. Furthermore, there is absence of the septum pellucidum
which is also a congenital anomaly present since birth.
While the frontal horns and lateral ventricles are normal in size, there is prominent size of the posterior body and trigones and occipital
