About this ebook
This book is a breakthroughin modern day poetry. It is an eclectic book that reflects contemporary society with its problems and its vision. In this book, the author uses her talent as a gifted poet to paint a rather realistic picture of the human condition, where she also vividly describes the struggle for survival. Within the passages of her poems, the author debates upon the issue of fate versus faith. She also contemplates the nature of truth versus happiness. She offers spiritual hope, and some thoughts on meditation. Throughout the book, the theme is a quest for truth, a quest for freedom: freedom from our daily anguish, freedom from miseries, and from madness. Most importantly, the author also offers insight on the role of the poet today and/or how the poet is viewed within society.

FORETHOUGHT
Wisdom hath builded her house, She hath hewn out her seven pillars:
She hath killed her beasts; she Hath mingled her wine; she hath also Furnished her table.
She hath sent forth her maidens: She crieth upon the highest places of The city,
Whoso is simple, let him turn in Hither: as for him that wanteth Understanding, she saith to him, Come, eat of my bread, and Drink of the wine which I have Mingled.
Forsake the foolish, and live; and Go in the way of understanding.
-Book of Proverbs
PART ONE
THE LIVING MURAL
PORTRAIT OF A GODDESS
La femme demigod- An all-mighty, all powerful Picture of a monumental portrait Designed upon the stain glass Of tomorrow’s mural:
-A glamorous window of fame and fortune -A vase of gold ripening in the sun.
The crimson, like the Sunset King, An iridescence of red, gold, and purplish colors Calmly awaiting upon every crossroad.
ANATOMY OF A SHADOW
She wore the sunshine upon her breast.
Upon her ankle shone a living star.
Beauty was like music embroidered upon her veil.
She was the Siren Diamond,
The crystal that reflected a thousand lights.
She walked with this standing aura.
Upon her wind rose this gleaming shadow
Of fear and courage
Love and hate
Life and death.
Those who loved her would love to hate her.
Those who hated her would fear to love her.
She owned a white horse that lived thousands of years
Beyond which no one had ever seen.
She was the mighty shadow behind the white horse.
Every now and then she would come out ride the horse
And make wonders fall off the sky.
No one would ever see her face
But only the silhouette like an aureole emanating
From the Sun.
WEDDING OF THE LAMBS
Daisies bloomed inside the bridal room. Outside on the veranda bride and groom Stood side by side ready to take vows.
And thee, Giorgio Giovanni Lothario…, Do you take Anna Maria Alexandria. as Your lawfully wedded wife?
Asked Hymen, the god of marriage, In a rather stern sacred tone
When the not
