The End
Oh, Lovely Rose of Red
Oh, lovely rose of red, your petals soft,
your blossoms near an end.
Remember spring, when first your
buds and leaves did just begin.
Fear not, my pretty blossom,
for the harsh winds to blow
your petals to the ground;
you served your days
upon this earth
with love to everyone.
Oh, lovely rose of red,
your petals soft, your days are near
the end,
but wait till spring—
you’re in my eyes again.
A Poem of True Love
How can I love you more, my dear,
How can I love you more?
I shall not leave you, no, my dear,
I shall not lose the way.
Though bitter words could break a trust
Of binding love divine,
And shatter all the hopes and dreams
That someday you’ll be mine.
The deepest roots of love for you
Inside my heart and soul,
The purest thoughts of gentle love
The world has ever known.
How can I love you more, my dear,
How can I love you more?
A Newfound Place
Please come with me,
to a newfound place.
Where flowers grow wild
with dew drops on their faces
and early morning mist.
Where songbirds awaken up the
morning dawn to celebrate
the sun rise from the sky of blue.
Where butterflies and honey bees suck nectar
from the clover fields.
Such beauty the eyes can behold
from this newfound place.
A Cry of Fear
A cry of fear, alas, alas!
The fear of death in all their hearts.
Some made it through
that dreadful time;
suffice to say the shock took hold,
screaming and shouting and pushing and shoving and blood and tears and broken hearts—
no shame, no gain.
I shook my head; it could be me instead of them,
the terrorists, whoe’er they be,
will have to stand on judgment day
and witness hell,
their destiny.
Love Cannot Be Bought
Love cannot be taken lightly.
Love is compassion,
Respect, and honesty.
Love has no anxiety.
True love never fades away;
It is with you every day.
Love is precious,
Love is priceless,
It cannot be
