About this ebook

The dots of prophecy are the various beliefs, ideas, theories, views, schools of thought, etc. ascribed to what the imagery of Revelation 12, 13 and 17 including Daniel 7 mean among Christians today. Many become weary with the variety of seemingly confusing and disjointed views and are turned off and away from a serious investigation of apocalyptic symbolism the study of which is critical and necessary to understanding the everlasting gospel in its fullness.

This book is a guide for individuals studying the imagery of Revelation and helps connect the dots between the dragon of chapter 12, the leopard-like beast of chapter 13, and the scarlet beast of chapter 17. The writer provides evidence that these three symbols are elements that help establish the profile of a killer, a modern day superpower as it developed in stages over time into the single most imposing religious system the world has ever known. A system one writer described as "a masterpiece of Satan's power--a monument of his efforts to seat himself upon the throne to rule the earth according to his will.

Please be warned. This book is not for everyone. It is written for Bereans those among the believers who it can be said, like the saints of Berea in Pauls day, These were nobler than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so. (Act 17:11) This study is for individuals who have been in the habit of searching the Bible for themselves and weighing evidence. It is for anyone who comes to the investigation of God's word with a contrite heart, a teachable and prayerful spirit.

    Preface

Integral to the mission of the Seventh-day Adventist church is the proclamation of the three angels’ messages of Revelation 14 to the world. Connected to these messages is the stern warning given by the third angel who cautions against worshiping The Beast and his image and receiving his mark in the forehead or in the hand. The person who does these things, according to the angel, will drink of the wine of the wrath of God poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation and will be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb (See Rev 14:9-10).

Because of the ominous consequences associated with worshiping The Beast and his image and receiving his mark, it is a matter of life and death that we know who or what The Beast is.

The author of this book seeks to engage you, the reader, as a criminal pathologist in the investigation of truth, asking informed questions, examining and weighing scriptural evidence; leading to the identity and undeniable profile of the beast. As you connect the dots of prophecy with the author, from the Book of Daniel to the Book of Revelation, you will explore the history and criminal background of the beast, its development over time and its legacy as a killer and enemy of Yahweh and humanity.

It is our prayer that the information provided will help you avoid becoming a victim of the beast. More importantly, we hope this book will help sincere seekers of truth discover how to live victoriously as a called, chosen and faithful disciple of Yahshua the Christ.

This book is supplemental reading to When Angel’s Cry: The Loud Cry of the Fourth Angel by the same writer.

    Prologue

The Bible admonishes us to study to show ourselves approved unto God, workmen needing not to be ashamed but rightly dividing the words of truth. In this undertaking, the Bible seems to suggest personal responsibility; something each person must do for him or herself alone. This task; moreover this privilege is not left to the clergy or the credentialed scholar. While there is no harm in listening to the opinions of learned men as long as those opinions align with scripture, the responsibility of every person who claims Yahshua as savior is to study the Bible for him or herself. Like the saints of Berea, students of the Bible should ‘receive the word with all readiness of mind, and search the scriptures daily, to see whether those things are true’ (See Act 17:11). We must work out our salvation with fear and trembling through prayer and the study of the Bible aided by the Holy Spirit.

Admittedly, examining scripture with an open mind to truth requires honesty and a persistent determination to know what truth is, to live the truth, and to speak what one embraces as truth to others.

This book represents an honest attempt to re-examine established views and teachings espoused by Seventh-day Adventists concerning the beast imagery of Revelation 12, 13, and 17. More importantly, this book provides an in-depth look at the Papacy as a puppet agent of Satan, its development over time, and its role in end-time events. An understanding of the role of the Papacy is integral to the message of the angel of Revelation 18, his message concerning the fall of Babylon and the powerful movement of the Holy Spirit that accompany that message. Ellen White says the combined messages of the third and fourth angel, the ‘other angel’ as she refers to it, constitute God’s final warning to the world (Spiritual Gifts Volume 1, page 195). This book challenges the status quo concerning the beast imagery of Revelation but it does so without moving a peg or pin from the three angel’s messages (Selected Messages Book 2, page 104).

The writer of this book does not attempt to tear down in any way the teaching held by Seventh-Day Adventists concerning the evil forces that ultimately war against God’s people; the Papal power and the Lamb-like Beast of Revelation 13. To the contrary, the reader may find a wealth of information that fortify and substantiate Adventists views concerning the beast imagery of Revelation 12, 13, and 17 while providing new insights into the development of the Papacy throughout its history.

In our quest to connect the dots of prophecy; to profile the killer, the target of this investigation, it is appropriate that we yield to the Bible as the best expositor of the symbols it presents. As we search the scriptures for the truth about the symbols of Revelation 12, 13, and 17, we must let
