The words flowed out of her naturally, never even really knowing what type of poetry she was writing. Over the years, poetry helped her throughout her life. It was therapeutic, now she hopes that her poetry can help those who are going or have gone through the same things. Love and heartbreak have always been a major theme.

      I lick my lips

      In anticipation

      Waiting for

      Your attention

      I can feel the burning

      The yearning for

      Your

      Everything

      How deep it goes

      Before all of this leaked

      I lick my lips

      You don’t notice

      You stand with all your friends

      I thought you said you loved me

      I guess the lust made it easy

      I was a fool

      This time I’ll see it through

      I watched from afar

      Your smile cutting through my heart

      I lick my lips in the thought of you

      In pain

      You didn’t notice

      I was coming again

      I knew where you would be

      The thought of you with her

      Not me

      I’ve already felt dead inside

      I lick my lips

      This will be easy

      I’m the Huntress

      No one can stop this

      With my knife in hand

      I’ve already made the plan

      Shadows

      I shed these thoughts away

      In this room

      I want to peel these clothes away

      Layer by layer

      Till I’m bare

      The shadow of you is there

      My eyes go dark

      A reflection of what used to be

      The knife glistens with

      Piercing delight

      I’m hypnotized by your touch

      My body so pure

      Your hands remove the buttons

      I just cannot fight

      Your eyes see through to my soul

      This was all I lived for

      Lace covers every inch

      Waiting for that knife

      That will pierce through my heart

      Such Bliss

      A kiss is just a kiss

      Till it becomes such bliss

      The warmth of his lips

      It’s as if no one exists

      I would stay for an eternity

      Just to feel this

      A smile is just a smile

      Till it becomes something you’ll miss

      To be in your arms

      Would be such heaven

      No one else would see

      This is who we’re meant to be

      A lie is just a lie

      Till it becomes your whole life

      I wanted to feel your light

      But I wasn’t as bright

      No one else could see

      This how you deceived me

      A heart is just a heart

      I wanted to feel so complete

      But that’s not my destiny

      This love was never mine

      I will wait patiently in another line

      The wind rips through my soul

      My tears become icicles

      An empty heart
