    PREFACE

Essential English Grammar is written for all learners of the English language. Non-native English learners often use the vernacular to translate directly from their own language, leading to unsuitable situations in expressing effectively in English. This is partly due to a lack of understanding of English grammar speech and relevant parts of the language structure.

Care has been taken to state rules and definitions of grammar in simple language to help students gain a better understanding of the subject.

The material can help both students and teachers of SPM, SPMV, MCE, MUET, Cambridge O and A level Examinations like TOFEL, TOSEL, IELTS and other relevant examinations. Teachers teaching English grammar should find this book useful.

I hope this book will help users achieve a better standard in reading, writing and in communicating effectively
