Plants are not only incredible sources of nutrients and foods for man, present in them are also many of nature’s wondrous components that have extremely been helpful in solving man’s most challenging health conditions. Plants contain numerous phytonutrients which and among other things, include a plethora of extracts that have a phenomenal aromatic essence, for example essential oils. Sometimes dubbed the soul
of plants, essential oils have long been a mainstay in many culinary and therapeutic preparations. In contrast to its name, essential oils don’t typically present as oils from the outside; they appear more watery, and so less viscous than would be expected of oils. That said, essential oils are extremely volatile and highly concentrated, and so are usually laden with a wide range of organic components.
Vitamins, hormone and certain chemicals fall into the group of essential oils needed by plants to successfully carry out life functions. For example, flowers have essences that help them attract plants, and this is vitally important for their pollination. In shrub trees, resin is the essential oil that helps to heal wounds faster while providing enough resistance when extremes of weather set in. Essential
