About this ebook

The book starts with THE GURU describing the greatness of the spiritual master and ends with BACK TO IMMORTALITY. The poem THAT INN ON THE HILL SIDE ROAD narrates a fictional story of greed, lust and murders and also talks of spirituality in its background. The poet explains THE FATE, WISE, SAINTS AND DEVOTEES in his rhythmical style. TEARS OF GANGES highlights the spiritual values of the river which one should remember before disposing untreated wastes into it.
The poem YOU ARE IN LOVE WITH HER indicates the symptoms when someone falls in love. LOVE-BLUFF exposes the pathetic condition when the so-called love is only meant for ego satisfaction.
The poet has dedicated his poem MY MOTHER to his parents and STREET DOGS to the love and affection of his pets. ON YOUR BIRTHDAY reminds the rich birthday boy regarding his social obligation to take a modest gift to the poor.
In the poem TO WILLIAM WORDSWORTH ON THE REAPERS SONG the poet has imagined the thoughts that could be in the mind of the girl in the famous poem The solitary reaper of William Wordsworth

    ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS

All thoughts, words, and letters of this book have come with the blessings of Lord Nityananda Mahaprabhu (the incarnation of Lord Balaram) and Lord Caitanya Mahaprabhu (the incarnation of Lord Krishna and Srimati Radha in one body) brought for me, by my Sri Gurudev, Sri Muralidhar Das Babaji. I offer my obeisance to the lotus feet of Lord Nityananda, Lord Caitanya and my Sri Gurudev.

I bow down my head to the lotus feet of Sri Radharaman Caran Das Babaji who commands us to chant the NAM, Bhaja Nitai Gaur Radhey Shyam, Japa Hare Krishna Hare Ram. I got this NAM from my Sri Gurudev, disciple Sri Ram Das Babaji of Sri Pathbari Asram, Kolkata. My attending of different discourses on Sri Madbhagavatam, Sri Caitanya Caritamritam and Sri Madbhagavat Gita delivered by Sri Krishnananda Das Babaji, Sri Madhusudan Das Babaji, Sri Rajumama, Sri Niharda, Sri Raghunathda, and other Babajis of Sri Pathbari Asram, guided me while writing these poems. I offer my pranams to them.

I bow down my head to the lotus feet of my parents for bringing me up to enjoy the creation of God. My father (Late) Sri Jogesh (Jogish) Chandra Mukhopadhyay, who was himself a great scholar, loved to recite the Bengali and English poems. My mother (Late) Srimati Maya Devi was rich in philosophical thoughts. She used to sing Padabali Kirtan. They have sacrificed a lot of comforts to make my life more comfortable.
