About this ebook
Her poems are organic, alive, part of an atmosphere we all live within, but seldom take the time to discuss and dissect. Her words are for us and of us, becoming at once a celebration of the breathing body. The authors soul is present in all of the poems in this electric collection. She uses language to gift the tale and share the fabric of verse through sound.
Here, the dedication is to the Reader: the one being given the package containing the rhymes; the one getting a swift pat on the shoulder; the one who would place himself and associate with the feelings and experiences, the authors heart opens up pulsing and pushing her message into the readers ear.

Hummings of the Heart - Reshma Wable
[1] HUMMINGS OF THE HEART
Every moment a hum I hear
Emerging from my hearts core crystal clear
Like bees do day and night
With rising sun and falling tides
These hummings of heart are my living potion
Giving my life a purpose and motion
I rescue my dreams by listening to these hums
No matter how tough is the walk but happy is the outcome
Wishes and desires stretch infinite
Like the brightening suns light
The hummings of heart never rest in time
The way sun backs the moon during night
I follow my heart and listen to each feeling of gut
Even if to all I look naive or nut
Because these are the hummings of my heart
Emerging from its core asking me to play my part
CHILDHOOD
Childhood.jpgPAINTING BY – RESHMA WABLE
[2] NOSTALGIA
The fountain of happiness
And the castles of sand
I find them around
Hidden in my childhood land
The fairy tale dresses
And the wizardly wand
Resides in memories chamber
Quietly in my childhood land
The Cinderella Charles story
And the kings island
Embellishes the memory
And holds me back in my prince’s land
The pile of story books and tales
Nostalgic yearnings make me yell
As if wave of sentiments grow huge
And freezes like ice cube
The innocent loud laughs and shouts
No matter which place, solace or between crowd
Naïve and beautiful memories it painted
As if life’s vast canvas was being imprinted
Those handmade cards for parents, teachers and pals
Vibrant and lively like a rainbow displayed on skies wall
Simple yet strong foundation for future was made
In the land of life, beneath the planetary shade
The winning, losing games on the ground
Run on tracks and fields, was there to surround
The parade of guides and scouts on D-day
Echoes back smiling and brighten today, to live and pray
[3] TREASURES OF TIME: CHILDHOOD
In this time zone moving with its speed
I wish I could go back and again be a kid
Where stress of elders faded with innocent laughs
And everyone pampered us increasing our smiles graph
Chocolates were the best ever gift in the world
Playing on the ground was true fun in the herd
Sharing a pencil, eraser or colors were a good deed
It was giving our treasure to the ones we loved indeed
School bag was more than any bank balance
Every morning readying for school was the biggest challenge
Homework seemed bigger than any NASA project
Getting good remarks were proudest moments
Boasting was limited to owning a cycle or toys
Jealousy meant not being the best friend of birthday girl or
