It is my prayer for you that as you read this book:
"that you may really come to know practically, through experience for yourselves, the love of Christ, which far surpasses mere knowledge without experience; that you may be filled through all your being unto all the fullness of God, may have the richest measure of the divine Presence, and become a body wholly filled and flooded with God Himself! Eph 3:19
Introduction
How many Christians can say that they experience the fullness of God in their lives every day? God’s desire is that every child of Him would experience this fullness that is all sufficient. Do experience the fullness of God we need to know what the fullness of God means. In Col 2:10 the Word says that we are filled with the fullness of God. But what does that mean to you?
When you want to experience this fullness of God, you need to understand the fullness of God. This fullness includes God as the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. So many Christians know God as their Saviour or as the Helper but only a few has a relationship with Him as their Father. When we want to know the Lord as our own God we have to have a relationship with Him as a Triune God. God is God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.
Many people say they know the Lord, while they are only aware of Him. They know that He exist and they even know that He can do wonders and that He died for their salvation. But still they do not truly know Him. They only know Him for the things they can identify with in their own lives.
I want to explain this by the following example, many people can say that they know their boss. You know his name, what he expects of you at work and how to keep him satisfied at work. But do you really know all his preferences at home, do you know his favourite colour, his favourite food, the name of his parents and all his children. Most of us don’t truly know our boss in this way. You interact with him from the understanding you have of him and what you know of him. This is knowing him in just one area of his life, work. But there might be so much more to this person but because you’re only involved in the area of work, you only know this area.
So often this is how many Christians know God. They know Him in a certain area of their lives but are not knowing, understanding and trusting Him in all areas of their lives. So many Christians today know God only as God in a specific area ex. healing or provision. While He is God in every area. God is Always and Everything. We need to not only know that God is ‘n Triune God, but understand what this mean. When we come to the understanding of Who God as the Father, God as the Son and God as the Spirit is, we will experience Him in so many different ways. God is not only the Creator, He is not only our Saviour and He is not only the Spirit. He is all of this and so much more. He is everything from the Beginning to the End. In order for us to live a life of excellence we need to understand that the God we serve is a God of excellence. In Him is everything we need, we just need to get to know Him in all He is.
When we allow God to be in control in every area of our lives we see how His character and His ways unfold in our lives. And His ways are always higher, better and more prosperous. We need to give over the control to Him and submit to His ways and plans for our lives. He is a good and faithful God and know the plans He has for us. Jer. 29:11 For I know the thoughts and plans that I have for you, says the Lord, thoughts and plans for welfare and peace, and not for evil, to give you a hope in your final outcome.
Many people don’t know how to have a relationship with God. To experience God in fullness you need to know Him in His fullness. Our God is a Triune God: God the Father, Jesus Christ His Son and the Holy Spirit. To know and experience the fullness of God, we need to know Him as My Lord, Abba Father, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit. I hope that as you read through this book you will come to the understanding of who God is for you as an individual, who He wants to be for you and how much
