    CHAPTER ONE

    Getting Started with MSWord 2016

    Microsoft Word 2016 or MS word 2016 is similar to MSWord 2013 and MSWord 2010. If you've previously used either version, then MSWord 2016 would be easier and similar. But if you are new to MSWord or have more experience with older versions, you must take some time to familiarize yourself with the new interface of MSWord 2016.

    The Word 2016 interface

    You will see the start screen as soon as you lunch MSWord. From this start screen, you can create a new blank document, or a template based document (Open a Templates). You can also access your recently edited documents from the same menu. From the Start Screen, locate and select Blank document to access the Word interface.

    If you click or select the Blank document, you will be prompted with a screen that looks exactly as below:

    Microsoft continued in its tradition of maintaining all old features in this new version. MSWord 2016 continues to use features like the Ribbon and the Quick Access Toolbar, like other recent versions, where you will find commands to perform common tasks in Word.
