Theresienwiese, means meadow of Therese, who was the Queen of Bavaria. She lived 1792-1854. The Meadow of Therese is the area close to downtown München/Munich. It's a huge festival ground that's specifically for the OKTOBERFEST and the SPRINGFEST, which is in April & May.
The festival starts each year, on 3rd Saturday of September and ends on the first weekend of October. Although it's called OKTOBERFEST, it doesn't last the entire month of
