About this series

Chi hummed under her breath as she rocked on toes to heel. Patience. A nurse was patience personified.

Even when her doctors were idiots who couldn't see what was in front of them and when their so-called patients were ancient aliens more amused by their bickering than they should be.

Seriously, why? Why was she here? Why couldn't Captain Zaman have listened and left the Suhkdeepians alone? Oh well. She was here, stuck, so she'd just have to make the best of it.

At least she'd have a ringside seat as the Suhkdeepians healed their sun.

Cymbals clashed as drums made of old bowls, binds and a Saurid's belly sounded. Emse dodged past the musicians. A Day of Joy on the Final Oblivion. Not a bad thing though Esme preferred the days where it was food everywhere over music. Still, good to have a day off work on this alien space station so far from Earth. Then Esme's girlfriend gave her a problem to solve and Esme's day improved. Any day when she got to ask questions, solve problems and make her girlfriend happy was a good day. As long as she could find a solution to the problem…

Heat pounded through Ariel's spacesuit. Hammer: hottest planet in the union. Good name for the place. The heat really did hit you like a sledgehammer between the eyes. Scientific missions to figure out Hammer's secrets were one thing. Dealing with annoying coworkers was another. At least until the coworker tripped Hammer's mysteries into striking back at them all. Ariel was gonna need all the Mullane family luck to survive this one. So much for a simple scientific mission. Molten Avatar is a queer SF story that grabs you and doesn't let go—don't miss out!

The command staff offices for the human habitat on the Final Oblivion were the most butt ugly places Esme had ever worked in her entire life. Bare steel walls, cobbled together desks, no sound dampening at all; It sucked. Made for easy eavesdropping on the change in command staff, though. Commander Kesha was being replaced, hallelujah finally, though the new commander didn't look like much of an improvement. Didn't matter. Esme would keep her head down and enjoy her quiet investigations job. Or she would have. Both commanders disappeared and an enemy she'd thought long gone appeared from nowhere, catapulting Esme from her anonymity into the center of a conspiracy that spanned the galaxy and affected all the alien races, even the ancient Creators. Worse, Esme might be the only one who could save everyone's lives. If she survived the day.

It was supposed to be a test. Just a test. But the simple test of the new Warp Drive turned into a struggle for survival for Chea Mullane. Murder, malfunctions, sabotage, all of it stacked up against her as time ticked away towards Chea being launched into another solar system. All by herself. Survival wasn't enough. Chea had to escape. If she could.

Esme breathed slow. Deliberately. Worst damned idea in the universe. The worst. Putting all three of the Mullane troublemakers, Esme, Ariel and Dana, in the same place at the same time was guaranteed to cause trouble. She didn't know how. Or when. Or what. But it was going to happen. Turns out, adding in a Nikiphoros with a penchant for trouble to the mix meant impossible spaceships, looming death and Esme was stuck right in the middle of it. Ghost Black Spaceship brings the laughter and the danger as you plunge into a future where every world has an intelligent species. Some of which view humans as food.

The Final Oblivion was far larger than Dana expected. Sure, she'd known that her cousin Esme had been assigned to a big one but she hadn't expected a full solar system sized station. Just the human habitat was the size of Earth's moon. What she had expected was that Esme would refuse to come to the family reunion. Wasn't disappointed there. Annoyed. Not disappointed. Getting Esme's butt off the station and onto a transport for home wasn't as easy as showing up, though. There were problems that needed fixing and Dana would fix them if that was what it took. No way was she going to the reunion if Esme wasn't. Avoiding the Reunion is a funny SF short story that queer women are sure to laugh at and love for years to come.
