    •Lion Brand 24/7 Cotton medium (worsted) weight cotton yarn (3½ oz/186 yds/100g per skein):

    3 skeins #150 charcoal

    •Size G/6/4mm crochet hook or size needed to obtain gauge

    •Tapestry needle

    •Stitch markers

    Gauge

    15 sts = 4 inches

    Pattern Notes

    Weave in loose ends as work progresses.

    Pattern is first worked in rows to form a square, which is then gathered with decrease rounds to cinch and create bag body.

    Strap length can be adjusted longer or shorter as desired. Straps are worked in continuous rounds.

    Join with slip stitch as indicated unless otherwise stated.

    Chain-7 at beginning of rows counts as first treble crochet and chain-3 unless otherwise stated.

    Bag

    Row 1: Ch 143, tr in 11th ch from hook (sk chs are first tr, ch 3), [ch 3, sk 3 chs, tr in next ch] across, turn. (35 tr, 34 ch-3 sps)

    Row 2: Ch 7 (see Pattern Notes), tr in next tr, [ch 3, sk next 3 chs, tr in next tr] across, turn.

    Rows 3–34: Rep row 2.

    At the end of row 34, do not fasten off; block piece.

    First Edge

    Row 35: Ch 1, sc in first tr, 2 sc in next ch-3 sp, [sc in next tr, 2 sc in next ch-3 sp] 33 times, do not work in last tr, turn. (102 sc)

    Row 36: Ch 1, [sc dec (see Stitch Guide) in next 3 sc] 34 times, turn. (34 sc)

    Row 37: Ch 1, sc in same sc as beg ch-1, [sc dec in next 2 sc, sc in next sc] 11 times, turn.
