Don't get me wrong I think Levison Wood is a courageous, very interesting, highly engaging storyteller. I enjoy his work deeply and where it takes me in the world in the comfort of my chair. Lev does good work in digging behind the scenes and unpacking the attitudes and beliefs of the people he meets. I admire his ability to remain calm and cool in difficult situations and I respect his viewpoints in many areas that are usually hard to articulate. I just have to say I become depressed and disappointed when he uses cliche and well worn figures of speech in some situations. Maybe it's just me being nit picky. I just feel that Lev needs to develop his own voice and his own style and that will take time. Once he does this he will become an original and compelling voice in adventure travel writing.
