Ketosis starves your body of carbohydrates, which the liver converts to glucose—reduced glucose means the body burns fat for energy.
Back to the topic at hand. Meal prepping simply means preparing whole meals ahead of schedule so that they are available for you to eat when the time comes. This concept is ideal for the busy lifestyle and has gained popularity with people for the amazing time-saving benefits and other benefits, which we will discuss later in this book.

The common and most convenient keto meal prep plan runs for a week. In other words, you will prepare meals for a whole week in advance on a designated day. Think about it, in one week, you will need twenty-one meals if you take three meals a day as you should. Thinking of the over-twenty meals daily or at mealtime is hard and is even more exhausting when you have to factor in the nutrition values of every meal because of the keto diet.
Keto meal planning is the way to solve the problem of cooking time, which can be hard to come by during the week, and will ensure that you eat the correct nutrients. More importantly, it is a flexible process that is owned by everyone in his or her own way so that one’s needs, preferences, and schedule are conveniently accommodated.
