    TESTIMONIALS

    ––––––––

~~ . . . Thank you, Dr. Patti Taylor, affectionately known as Doc", for being such an inspiration of kindness, warmth, and generosity in our learning environment.

Your dedication to helping us through this course made it all worth the while.

. . . I made it because of you and your showmanship and the ability to lead others in a time when it does seem the best thing is to throw in the towel because of inadequacies.

Thank you, Doc, for being a leader, an awesome instructor and just for being

~~Healing is truly possible. I forgot that I needed healing, too.

I was at a place in my life where I was feeling unworthy and unloved. I was feeling depressed and unsure of my future. I have always been a goal orientated person. However, I allowed my relationship to pause all my inspirations. I was close to giving up and then there was Dallas residency!

Doc had no clue what I was going through, but every word of encouragement she spoke was directly for me. She said, The fact that I exist, I deserve the very best! This quote means so much to me and I say it daily to remind me that I deserve the best.

It is important for healers to be healed in order to effectively help others. A lot of times, in helping others, we lose sight of who we are and I just want to thank Doc for taking the time to notice the importance of healing healers.

I look forward to learning more from Doc! Thank you, Doc, for all your inspiration and motivation!!!

~~I had some difficulty putting into words the great respect, gratitude and appreciation I have for you. You have had a profound impact on me personally, spiritually, and professionally, and I cannot even begin to thank you enough for your amazing ability to inspire those with whom you work.

Believe it or not, you were the first professor that I encountered during my initial residency at Capella University. Not only were you warm, welcoming and inviting, but you also inspired me to continue pursuing my education at a time when I missed being away from my family.

This residency was the first time I had left

my husband and children, and I was beyond anxious. However, once I met you, I could immediately feel your positive energy, which reminded me that I was in good hands and that everything would be fine.

I learned a stupendous amount from you during our time together; not only did I learn the academic content that was part of the course, but I also learned a tremendous amount of practical knowledge that would carry me through the next several years of my life.

Your insight and understanding of the human experience completely blew me away! You were beyond wise and your empathetic approach to situations was awe-

inspiring. Needless to say, I was elated when I had you for additional classes and residencies. Your intelligence and spiritual beliefs in how the universe works were exactly what I needed to continue pursuing my dreams. You never had a problem sharing your personal experiences with your students and colleagues, and your emphasis on the power of thought was extremely powerful. I have read many of the books you recommended that I read, and I have experienced monumental changes in my daily life as a result. Out of all of my professors, you are the one that I never hesitated to contact for guidance and support. I feel eternally grateful that I have

~~When I first worked with Doc Taylor, I was incredibly frustrated. My whole life, I have been told and instructed in the 'right' way of doing things, and how I should think and learn. Why then, should healing be any different? I wanted someone to tell me what to do to feel better and do better.

However, Doc Taylor showed me through a totally unique style of learning and therapy that there is not necessarily a 'right' way to go about such things. Rather, she demonstrated that we have the seeds of healing within ourselves, in the spirit of Rogerian psychology. She has changed the

way I see the world, and has opened my mind to the possibilities of healing not only emotional wounds, but physical ones as well.

Love and relationship are keys to Doc's methods of therapy and healing. She genuinely cares about her clients and students and is gifted at bringing
