      The book is written for normal people, who are interested in trees and nature and not afraid of learning facts that upset their worldview, and who are willing to accept that there are things we cannot, yet or fully, explain.

      When our book club chose this book, I felt that trees and their live may be a stretch. I found this summary and loved it since it filled in the gaps when I would want to stop reading a chapter in the library book. It helped to develop an interest in the subject.
