About this ebook

What does a little alcohol and a lot of sexual tension get you? Well, in Heather and Gina's case, one night of rugged passion.

Gina

I have been told all my life that I defy all the red-haired stereotypes, I am cool, I am calm, and I am collected, that is the only reason I survive after taking the most stressful job as the personal assistant to one of the biggest names in Hollywood.

I expected her to act like a princess—her reputation preceded her—I however didn't expect to find myself in her bed one drunken night, and I definitely didn't expect to have my world rocked.

Heather

I am used to getting my way, that is how it has always been since my mom took me to a talent show and I showed the world what I was made of, everybody gets me what I want because of what they can get from me, and it gets tiring.

In walks Gina, more than ten years younger than me but way more mature, and she doesn't cower to my will like the others, but instead treats me like any ordinary person.

I like it, I like her, no surprise then that we end up in bed together

My Lucky Star - Kelsey Blaine

    My Lucky Star

    Chapter 1

S o you have no experience in this field? the interviewer asked again, her tone derogatory. Gina Graham suspected the woman was trying to piss her off. Since she had entered the room to interview for the position of personal assistant to the woman sitting across from her, she had been trying to get under her skin by speaking down to her, but Gina was determined not to let that happen, coming for this interview may have started out as a joke between her and her friend, but if there was any possibility—however little—that she could get hired by the woman, she was willing to accept any foul behavior from her.

No I don’t, she replied to the woman’s question, forcing a smile to her lips. She didn’t want to give her any excuse to disqualify her.

Mrs. Zoey Parker was your run of the mill no nonsense publicist who took her job and her clients very seriously, so she wasn’t about to let just anyone escort her most billable client on her first music tour in a while. She had liked Gina from the moment she had walked through the door, she looked like someone her client would get along with very well, and she was sure she wouldn’t have any problems with her, her only issue now was the fact that Gina had next to no experience being someone’s PA and Heather had conveniently not shown up for the interview even after she had told her that she needed to be there.

As I earlier mentioned, Gina spoke, it was obvious that she was smart, I have no experience working as a PA, but my last job was as the secretary to a very popular ENT specialist right here in LA, Gina had worked there for a few months before the practice had shut down as a result of mismanagement, but she wasn’t about to tell Zoey that. So I know what it is like to assist other people, she spoke softly with a maturity that very few people had, her beautiful green eyes filled with wisdom that she rarely explored. She was a twenty-five-year-old high school dropout, currently living in one of the most expensive cities in the USA, a city filled with a lot of opportunities, so it was a letdown for Gina that although she had been in Los Angeles for a few years now, the only thing she had to her name presently was her maturity and self-dignity...that couldn’t feed her, she needed this job.

She had moved to LA three years ago, after deciding that she wanted to be an actress and LA was the right place to be, however, after three years, the closest she had gotten to acting was having a blue film director hit on her.

I see, Zoey said as she wrote something down on her notepad causing Gina to silently wonder exactly what it was that the woman saw. She could usually tell what a person thought of her from her first encounter with them, how they perceived her and such, but with this woman, from the moment she had walked into the room it had been a guessing game for her, and she didn’t like it one bit. Why do you want this job, Ms. Graham? Zoey asked, looking up from her book.

Because I don’t want to starve? Gina thought. She always tried to see the humor in every situation, whether it was her being late on her rent for the third time that year or it was every stupid question that employers asked during job interviews. She was used to it by now, an out of work actor still had to eat somehow, and she had to take on any jobs until her big break finally came. With that in mind, she took a deep breath and in her sweetest most polite voice she answered the question.

Because I think I can make a real difference in this position Ma’am. The most cliché answer imaginable, also the reason a lot of people got hired. Hopefully she would be one of those people.

How so? Shit! Most employers just took it at that and let it be.

Well you see, she started, looking for what to say that would sound smart and wise. I am a very organized person, and as the eldest child of six children, I learned at an early stage to manage people very well. She moved her long red hair behind her ears as she
