- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5I liked this book. I liked that it described different types of families like big, medium, and small families as well as young children, teenager children, and children who are grown up. I also liked the illustrations in the book because it showed what different families do together for fun. Some like to travel and other like to dance around the Christmas tree. The big idea is that there are all types of families.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5I thought this book was an interesting read. I liked the book because of the plot and the illustrations. The plot was informative and interesting. It described all the different kinds of families that exist. These descriptions make it so that the reader can find their own family situation somewhere in the book and relate to it. The author writes, "Families come in all sizes. Big families, middle sized families, and little families." I also loved that there were real letters between family members integrated into the illustrations. One image shown was a letter that wrote, "Dear Amy, I wish we could get together more often." These letters allowed the reader to connect to the families shown in the book. The message I took from this reading is that all families are unique and special.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Summary:This book is a story about families and how they are all different and unique in their own way. It explains that no matter what kind of family you come from that it is always a part of you. You can come from a big, middle-sized or small family. You can come from a traditional family of a mother and father or be raised by just one parent or even a grandparent. Your family can all live in the same place or can all live in different places. No matter what kind of family you come from, everyone is a part of some family. All families are comprised of different people and all families have different stories to share. In the end, all families are for caring, loving and sharing. They will always be there to help take care of each other. No matter what, your family is always a part of you and a special part of your life. Comments (opinions/arguments):This was a truly inspiring children’s picture book because it really touches the reader from all angles. I think this book could really make any child feel a certain love and affection for their family. I think it’s a great book for every child to read because it will remind them of how lucky they are to have any family member or kind of family that they were given. It really is just a great book about how all families are different, but no matter what we all belong to one.
