I have been fascinated by treasure stories all my life and dug deeper into these legends when I was a teenager. I've spent many years of my life fossil hunting, metal detecting, gem mining and consider each item a treasure in itself. However like most of us I dream of someday finding a REAL lost treasure and being able to contribute to the historical record.
I've followed stories of pirates, outlaws, Civil and Revolutionary War treasure, southern Plantation buried loot and other interesting stories of treasure. I'm a huge fan of history and love seeing how these stories and found treasures add to our understanding of history.

INTRODUCTION
I have been fascinated by treasure stories all my life and dug deeper into these legends when I was a teenager. I've spent many years of my life fossil hunting, metal detecting, gem mining and consider each item a treasure in itself. However like most of us I dream of someday finding a REAL lost treasure and being able to contribute to the historical record. I’ve followed stories of pirates, outlaws, Civil and Revolutionary War treasure, southern Plantation buried loot and other interesting stories of treasure. I’m a huge fan of history and love seeing how these stories and found treasures add to our understanding of history.
Since I was a young child I have always been interested in treasure of all kinds. Buried, in museums, rocks, fossils, artifacts and of course the allure of gold. I would always pick up cool rocks and look for Indian arrowheads. As an adult I caught the full treasure hunting bug and became obsessed with fossil hunting, gem mining, gold panning and metal detecting. I always had fun with my metal detector and was in an area in the south where fossils were prevalent. I also spent regular time at gem mines, gold panning, searching fields and creeks for Indian artifacts. I’ve found fossils, gems, artifacts all over the United States and am always on the lookout for that buried treasure.
I have a large collection now of shark teeth, whale bones, ancient seashells, extinct fish, a cool turtle skull as well as tons of gemstones and Indian pottery and artifacts. My collection also includes metal detecting artifacts like old ship wheel parts, a Revolutionary War Musket trigger guard and many mini bullets used during the wars. I’ve been in tidal creeks with water moccasins, through mud, rain, snow. I’ve dug fossils until my fingers and hands were raw, I’ve chipped off gemstones out of old mines and everything I found was worth every bit of hard work, sweat, all weather conditions and hard to get to places.
