About this ebook
What would happen if a shy introvert lived like a gregarious extrovert for one year? If she knowingly and willingly put herself in perilous social situations that she’d normally avoid at all costs? Writer Jessica Pan intends to find out. With the help of various extrovert mentors, Jessica sets up a series of personal challenges (talk to strangers, perform stand-up comedy, host a dinner party, travel alone, make friends on the road, and much, much worse) to explore whether living like an extrovert can teach her lessons that might improve the quality of her life. Chronicling the author’s hilarious and painful year of misadventures, this book explores what happens when one introvert fights her natural tendencies, takes the plunge, and tries (and sometimes fails) to be a little bit braver.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5As an introvert, this book is so relatable. I loved it.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I think I might be a better friend to my introvert connections now. The author's stories carry the reader along while feeling one is learning tons of new things.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Reading this book is like reading myself. I am such a shy and introverted person like Jessica. But i know that i am not alone through reading this book. Feelings i am having right now, they are completely normal. It is interesting that Jessica tried so many different ways to make friends, i am highly encouraged to try as well! i gave 4 stars because the comedy chapter i wasnt quite interested in reading.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Absolutely adored this book. The author is charming and has a wonderful knack for making it feel like you’re right alongside her on this journey!
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This book was terrific. As an introvert, I loved each detail, each moment. Jessica Pan’s tone, style, courage and honesty are fresh and delightful and yup…Deep. Very satisfying. I’m inspired to find my own ways to experiment with showing up to play on new playgrounds in this the extrovert dominated world. It appears a bit of a tale for the financially privileged but that’s not enough to take away from the authenticity of the author’s voice, nor to deter an introvert with less means to find their own creative way to undertake the challenge and connect more deeply and lightly! with themselves and others. Thank you, Jessica.
Kudos to the book designer who created the cover - absolutely brilliant!
