About this ebook

A psychic doctor discovers her latest coma patient is a vampire in this paranormal romance from the New York Times–bestselling author of Fated.

Vampire Ronan Kayrs wasn’t supposed to survive the savage sacrifice he willingly endured to rid the world of the ultimate evil. He wasn’t supposed to emerge in this time and place, and he sure as hell wasn’t supposed to finally touch the woman who’s haunted his dreams for centuries. Yet here he is, in an era where vampires are hidden, the enemy has grown stronger, and his mate has no idea of the power she holds.

Dr. Faith Cooper is flummoxed by irrefutable proof that not only do vampires exist…they’re hot blooded, able to walk in sunlight, and shockingly sexy. Faith has always depended on science, but the restlessness she feels around this predatory male defies reason. Especially when it grows into a hunger only he can satisfy—that is if they can survive the evil hunting them both.

Vampire’s Faith by Rebecca ZanettiParanormal romance. 8th in the series. Can be read as a standalone. I have not read the previous books and enjoyed this book without feeling lost or that I missed pieces.Enemy vampire races fight for supremacy. Classic good vs. evil with the heroine questioning why based on science and the need to save her coma laden sister.Destined mates. Some domination tendency with spanking. It was amusing that so many times they start to have sex, they are interrupted. And vampires apparently drink a lot of alcohol.Overall, this brotherhood of vampires struck me as fighting for good and saving the Enhanced females, but only the human doctor cared about the innocent lives in jeopardy. The romantic love took a long time to arrive although the lust factor was off the charts right from the beginning. I like other series by this author more. I received a copy of this book from NetGalley.

Vampire’s Faith by Rebecca ZanettiDark Protectors #8Ronan has been away from the world in a bubble keeping bad guy Kurjan creep in prison when the bubble breaks and he waked to a world that is a whole lot different than it was when he went into the bubble. He has a lot of catching up to do and does so in an impressive way. His strength is not at full force but he is still a male to be reckoned with. Shortly after he wakes he realizes his neurologist and coma specialist Faith is his mate…getting her to adjust and agree takes some time, though. This book is a romance but also gives background of how The Seven achieved their powers, what they are meant to do and who is going to join them. It sets the situation up for future books and introduces us to all of the seven except for Ronan’s brother who is in a bubble of his own. We meet some of the bad guy Kurjan and Cyst types and here mention of the “others” that exist in addition to humans. I believe that not having read any of the previous books in this series may have been a good thing as this stands alone and seems to be the introduction to a future group of beings that will be fighting and defeating (I hope) the evil that wants to gain the upper hand. I wonder about Faith’s sister and whether or not she will eventually wake and end up with Adare. I wonder who Benny, Ivar and Quade will end up with and also wonder about Garret and Logan and how the team will work in the future. I have to say that Faith, in spite of her education and knowledge, seemed a bit of a loose cannon doing silly things that put herself and others in danger. I know she is supposed to come across as strong and unwilling to back down but…at times I did not get her. Did I enjoy the book? YesDo I want to read more in this series? YesThank you to NetGalley and Kensington – Lyrical Books for the ARC – This is my honest review. 4-5 Stars

I've been meaning to get to the Dark Protectors series for a while now and being approved for Vampire's Faith by NetGalley gave me a jumpstart. The Seven, the Kurjans and the Cyst seem to be a new arc in the series so this book is a good place for me to start. But I am going back to the beginning as soon as I can. I've read the Realm Enforcers series so seeing that Logan and Garrett have major roles to play in this arc is exciting.

The Seven, the Kurjans and the Cyst is a part of Realm history that has been deliberately concealed. I'm not going to get into details about what the Seven do and who the Kurjans and the Cyst are because spoilers you know. But I can tell you that Ronan Kayrs may come off as the bull in the china shop type but is definitely one regal alpha. As for Faith, in spite of being a neurologist, she is a spitfire, dedicated to her work, determined and fiercely independent.

I can guarantee you an edge of your seat, nail biting, experience as you go through this book along with a whole load of hand to hand combat and a couple of exploding mountains. I am especially looking forward to what is in store for Grace and Adare, I do hope that is the next book.

I received an Advanced Reviewers Copy from the Publisher via #NetGalley for voluntary review consideration
