Description

This episode begins with information from reports on the increasing power that older people have when it comes to the key issues of modern life.  The older generation currently has great financial, political and consumer power.   And, due to rising longevity, they have already held onto power longer than any other generation. According to Michael Meade, we cannot wait until the older generation passes away or hope that one day society will evolve to a greater understanding of life. Given the magnitude of the problems we face globally, there is not time for that.  In looking for answers, Meade turns to old ideas about the awakening of elders and the necessity to find the deeper conversation of the soul which can secretly unite elders with the younger generation. Then, through acts of courage and imagination, older and younger together can change the course of both nature and culture. Thank you for listening to Living Myth.
