About this ebook

The "Voice of Foreign Exchange" is a series of books reinventing the "Elliott Wave Theory" using modern data communications formula. The formulas, I discovered in 2009-2010, led a Russian telecommunications specialist to victory in the 2011 MQL4 competition. I will explain, in layman's terms, how electronic data communication networks (ECN) operate, the protocols used, and how those networks impact all ForEx Trading Methods, Investment MT4 or MT5 Trading System, Forex Technical Trading Strategies, and MQL4 or MQL5 Expert Advisors (EA) programming. I also teach you how to troubleshoot and discover from your MT4/5 connections to your ForEx Investment Broker.

I have read thousands of articles and books on Foreign Exchange (ForEx), and not one takes into consideration what I reveal in this book. "What an arrogant, bold statement ...", you must be thinking? Here's my challenge; begin reading as many articles, forum posts and books (the free samples?) as you are able before I complete this book in the next several weeks (target publication date is February 2017). Establish, in your own mind, what's available today in all the current Expert Advisors for ForEx, then read this book and supplements and use my Expert Advisors from my tutorials in Chapter 5 and 6 -- or build your own from the instructions I provide.

    Workbook Abstract

This book is intended to be a hands-on guide for Foreign Exchange using an updated Elliot’s Wave Theory aligned to modern data communications systems. By following my steps in developing a complete Expert Advisor (EA), you will translate my sequences into your own trading system terminal using MQL4 or MQL5. Source code is available in the Bonus Content as a separate download, due to various deployment restrictions. I will explain my rationale for each decision so that you can adopt or modify for your EA’s responses. When you complete this workbook —unlike every other similar book on the market today — you should have a working copy of your own EA tuned for your specific terminal not mine, a remote signaling service nor a duplicate copy of my trading signals! Several well-known EA mechanics are provided as plug-ins to scaffold your EA system. The appendices show further valuable resources.

Here are the main topics we will cover:

Part I. Chapters 1 to 4: Data Communication Concepts and History

    - Dedicated to anyone who would like to understand how ForEx networks operate.

Part II. Chapters 5 to 6: Voice of ForEx Applied

    - This content is what you will NOT find in other ForEx tutorials on the market today. Dedicated to the curious, students, lecturers, and those new to the A-patchy EA trading system. Knowledge of network operation is a per-requisite. (Read chapters 1 to 4)

    Pencils will indicate written projects.

    About Your Author

I am a full-time certified network engineer and Professor. This book provides you with a reliable and robust trading method which I refined over my career in data communications, software development, and quality assurance testing. I ran two tests, each with an initial $200 investment; and, each time grew the account to $1,600 in 45 days through Alpari (2010 and 2011). I use the ever popular MetaTrader platform for trading. This is more commonly referred to as MT4 (or MT5 today) and there are many reputable brokers that offer such platforms. Although I concentrate solely on ForEx trading myself, you will discover that my information also impacts other financial instruments trading methods.

My particular trading methods will demonstrate the problems with many current technical analysis used on any ForEx time-frame. Furthermore, it will reveal why many ForEx traders prefer the 4-hour chart or Daily charts. I will endeavor to demonstrate live data communication from your terminal whether it uses the Unix (Mac OS X), Linux or Windows operating system and provide you several networking tools to fine tune your EA. I will also provide source code (in a separate Bonus Content package) that will automate EA responses. You will need access to a MT4/5 terminal (demonstration version is fine) to use these methods for testing and trade analysis; until you have your live terminal ready, you will only need access to your workstation’s operating system.

    1 ECN networks - a Historical Introduction

Data Communication History: A review of ‘Elliot Wave Theory’ and why it almost works.

Call me a skeptic, but I can hardly believe what passes for ForEx Expert Advisers these days; ForEx Indicators; ForEx blather about signals, and Half-baked formulas. Bald-faced attempts to redefine ForEx trades at every level by any means possible. I have doubts – habitual doubts – as to the validity of many of these. I find myself increasingly reluctant to embrace what others – in their guru ForEx books, articles, and blogs – apparently are willing to accept. Simply stated, I have not found one author in books nor
