Given that David Anthony was prepared to go the whole nine yards to find the correct, original parts to make this Cabriolet as good as new, it will come as no surprise that he’s been in the scene for yonks. Since the early ‘80s, in fact. And, without a shadow of a doubt, we bet he’s got a folder hidden away somewhere for each of the VWs he’s owned. And it will be a big folder because he’s had two Karmann Ghia Cabriolets, a ‘63 and a ‘69 Beetle and a US-spec Triple White Cabriolet that he enjoyed in the early ‘90s in his time. Oh, and being his first car, there’s bound to be a frayed photo tucked away of the Texas Yellow 1303 that he passed his driving test in back in 1979.

Alas, as with all of us, the passion has to start somewhere and, as David explains,
