An Artistic Exploration of Modern Technology
What happens when you use genetic modification to dye every chicken on the planet pink? If the chickens that are red to the bone are still consumed, then the remaining bones pile up on the ground and a pink line will be (Nonhuman Nonsense) on display at the ‘DA VINCI CREATIVE 2019: LIVING LIFE’. The Da Vinci Creative Festival, held from Aug. 23 to Sep. 11, is an annual exhibition organised by the Seoul Art Space Geumcheon since 2010, designed to support Korean media art and discover talented artists. This year, the festival tried to approach the all-round conception of ‘life’ with an artistic exploration that encompasses cutting-edge technology. Eight Korean artists including Jeong Seung, Hahm Junseo, Oh Jooyoung, Kwon Byungjun, and five foreign artists including Nonhuman Nonsense, Pinar Yolda ş , and The Center for Genomic Gastronomy.
