Narcissistic Abuse Free - Sibahle Zulu
Introduction
Narcissistic abuse is one of the most devastating experiences you will ever face. It is painful because someone has volitionally chosen you to throw away from their life. It is very difficult to deal with a personality disordered person because they manage to manipulate you to a point where you lose your sanity. If you don’t know, you wouldn’t be able to identify when you are dealing with such a human being because their tactics are subtle most of the time, though you might notice something off about them. You would normally excuse their odd behavior or overlook it because ‘you love them’ or they’ve probably shared with you their ‘not so good upbringing, that’s why they act out ‘sometimes’, yeah right!
Right there, you are being emotionally abused! You are now being groomed to accept these crappy behaviors and it’s only going to add up. By the time you wake up, it’s almost too late. It is easy to spot the red flags in such people if you know what to look for. I wrote about it in detail in my book preceding this one, Emotional abuse caused by a Narcissist: How to identify signs of narcissistic abuse and breaking free
.
If you are reading this book, then you’ve probably realized that you are in a toxic relationship and you want to break free. Or maybe you’ve even gotten out of the relationship, so, what’s next? It must be made clear that breaking up with a toxic person is only just the beginning of the healing and recovery process. You cannot just leave it there. Chances are, you’ve suffered Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), which should not be left unattended. You will probably be trauma bonded which would make you go back to that toxic relationship, a number of times even. We must realize that narcissists have tactics they use to keep their victims from moving on, I went in detail about it in the above-mentioned book.
Emotional abuse is even more difficult to deal with because you cannot identify it with the eye. That’s why perpetrators get away with their crimes so easily because you can’t really produce evidence that you are being abused, as it mostly happens behind closed doors. Even with the recovery, it’s not going to be simple and straightforward as the experience is soul and spirit-crushing. Its recovery phases involve a series of stages that help the victim to come out of the fear of entering into future relationships. This book contains all the essential information that will assist you to utilize the time for your personal growth. Breaking free from a toxic person is necessary to lead a happy life.
Chapter 1: The Things to do while healing after the narcissistic abuse
The road of healing after narcissistic abuse is very difficult as it is a shattered life and it usually feels hard to leave the darkness behind for good. It is not a straight path as one can take, consider it a roller-coaster of emotions. Narcissistic abuse is psychological warfare that affects the mind, heart, and soul of the victim and is a great mess to be sorted out. However, there are many ways to track the healing journey, and evade the dead ends and dangerous roadblocks that disrupt the path, delaying your arrival
