That's exactly what some military and medical laboratories are doing. In other words, virus is information that can travel not only across the earth but across the universe as well. There is a theory that virus codes are the way for the aliens to seed the life on the planets. Some viruses dissipate in minutes, while other can live nearly forever even in harsh cosmic environment.
