THE MOST INTERESTING thing about Mavericks? Is it unfair to say it was its name? Well, maybe. But the first OS X to be named after a place rather than a magnificent creature was very much evolution rather than revolution. It was a free OS X update whose reviewers agreed was worth every cent.
