After Dave Conwill wrapped up his driveReport on the 1940 La Salle for this issue, we couldn’t help thinking there ought to be some action photography to go with it. The inspiration came from the ready willingness of its owner, Gene Coe, and his son-in-law, Kevin Flicker (our driver), to bring the car out at a moment’s notice, and even to drive it up to meet us in Bennington from his location down in Western Massachusetts, about a half hour away.
