Cannabis is much like any other tool used during training. IT TAKES SOME TRIAL AND ERROR to dial in the product to fit specific goals.
On the mountain, all the worries and difficulties go away as gravity takes over and everything in life seems to slow down. There are no rules—nobody telling me what I can or can’t do. I’m just free.
Getting to this point hasn’t been easy, though. Life often throws unexpected twists and turns our way, but it’s how we respond that makes all the difference. I know this all too well after fighting childhood Legg-Calve-Perthes disease followed by chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy (CIDP), which ultimately led to the amputation of my left foot.
As a kid, it was the promise of another baseball season that kept me going. What did I need to do to get back outside and back into the game?
