About this ebook
I should say a few words about what you will read in the pages of this volume. The book was created from dreams, journeys, urban legends and more, rebellion and resignation, but above all from what would characterize a certain side of the human personality desiring an escape from our so pragmatic everyday life. I did not intend to render anything "syrupy" in what you will read, but there are many romantic (I still strongly believe in romance!), or symbolic moments. In the beginning of the book, I placed some urban ballads - "The Ballad of Mehadia", "Song of Boulevard and Youth", "The Flyer". On the other hand, you will come across compositions that seem to be in dissonance with the overall tone. They are just simple accents, which are meant to break the eventual monotony. As you will find, each poem in this volume is accompanied by a prose text, which I wanted him to be in some state of resonance with the lyrics. I would compare those contained in the present volume to a mosaic of themes, a puzzle of impressions stylized and shaped in a surrealistic manner.
The poems in this volume were published in the 2020 edition, e-book on CD with the exception of "Extinction", "Triage" and "Snapshots", which have been added in the present edition. "Complicated", "White", "Top View", "Legends" and "Immunity" are no longer found in this volume. The poem "Drowning" is present on the second cover, but it is not in the volume. Some poems have been formally adjusted without altering the lyrical message. The graphics have been completely revised, in this edition all texts are accompanied by plates. The original drawings signed by Matei Podea were reproduced, and S.Popeșteanu made the covers and the stylized photos.
