-During week 5: Nasal placodes invaginate and form nasal pits. Two new prominences appear: o lateral nasal prominence o medial nasal prominence

Development of the Upper lip two medial nasal prominences two maxillary prominences

Over the next 2 weeks o maxillary processes increase in size o maxillary processes grow to midline
