PROJECT UPDATE
WATERMAIN REPLACEMENT AND IMPROVEMENTS ON LANDEN COURT AND MERRITT AVENUE, CITY OF MISSISSAUGA The City of Mississauga has accelerated their resurfacing program for Landen Court and Merritt Avenue which will be commencing in Summer of 2012. The City will be removing and replacing all roadway concrete curb and asphalt, and replace sidewalk where necessary. To reduce overall construction costs and public disturbance, the City has requested that our level of restoration be minimized only to the point where we leave the site in a safe condition. This means that any removal of concrete curb, sidewalk, asphalt or interlock driveways where the new water service had been installed will be replaced with temporary asphalt, and the City will carry out the final restoration in conjunction with their road works. PROJECT SCHEDULE The City of Mississauga will be providing notice of their scheduled works approximately one to two weeks prior to commencing. If you wish to have your driveway completely resurfaced, you may contact the contractor directly from the contact information provided at that time. It is the responsibility of the homeowner to arrange with the City of Mississaugas contractor if they wish to have their entire driveway resurfaced. Any deficient material or workmanship on private property under separate private contract will not be the responsibility Region of Peel or the City of Mississauga to repair. All other works within the road allowance will be under warranty with the respective contractor for a period of two years. Any deficient materials or workmanship will be identified and rectified prior to the end of this maintenance period by the respective contractor.
