Dear Parents, Swadee Kha and welcome to 6JB. My name is Ms Jill Bellamy. My home is Noosa, Australia.

I have a Bachelor of Education and Diploma of Teaching. This is my 24th year of teaching and my tenth year at NIST. My husband John teaches Physical Education in the Middle School and High School and we have three children: Ashlyn, who is in Year 6 and Patrick and Kayla who are in Year 4. Our year level Academic Assistants are Khun Siew and Khun Joe. For the first two weeks we will be doing lots of getting to know each other type activities as we believe the success of your childs year depends on them feeling at ease in their classroom and with their classmates and teachers. It is also the grounding for building a strong cooperative community from a group of unique individuals. This year I aim for your child to consolidate and extend his/her academic progress and assist them to become independent learners. Additionally, students will develop self-confidence; communication and social skills; personal organization; and respect for self and others. Learning activities will aim to enthuse and challenge students, and will emphasise the development of academic skills and positive, co-operative social attitudes. Students will be expected to meet high standards in regards to attitude, behaviour and effort.
