FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE -- June 15, 2012 Contact:Rian Sommerfield (707) 279-1846
and Anne A. Elliott Educational Scholarship awarded last week at Kelseyville High School are seniors Cory Johnson and James Green. Cory and James both have outstanding academic and athletic high school careers. Cory is a valedictorian and James ranked very high in his class. Both had exemplary athletic success through their high school years primarily in football but also track and field and basketball. The band is comprised of Jesse Crosson (18), Kyle Crosson (15) and Jaden Crosson (13) from Vacaville, CA, along with Jacob Gill (17) and Connor Gill (13), both former members of The Lost Boys, from Lake County, CA. They have an extensive following and travel well, having sold nearly 100 tickets at the Great America Music hall in SF recently. They are also headlining in a return to the Vacaville Performing Arts Theatre in July, and the Soper Reese Theatre in August. And, they are at Raging Waters in Sacramento this Saturday for 2 shows. On behalf of the band, we would like to play Ace of Spades, and feel that the band would draw a great crowd for a show at your venue. It has been a banner year for the rock quintet. The band was named 2011 Power Pop BAND of the YEAR by the 21st annual 2011 LOS ANGELES MUSIC AWARDS, and their song PHOTOGRAPHS DONT LIE was named one of the best indie songs of the year, by RAINBOW RECORDS, and placed on their BEST of 2011 compilation CD. The 22nd annual 2012 Los Angeles Music Awards have also nominated Cheating Daylight for 2012 ROCK ARTIST of the YEAR and 2012 SHOWCASE ARTIST of the YEAR. The bands new record, ALL WE KNOW hit stores earlier this year, and subsequently, the 2012 Los Angeles Music Awards announced a 3rd nomination for Cheating Daylight, 2012 ROCK ALBUM of the YEAR. The teenage band of brothers also kicked off their 50 date All We Know Tour at the Indie Music Fest in Las Vegas, along with 40 of the best unsigned bands in America. At the conclusion of the 3 day festival, Cheating Daylight was named IMF 2012 INDIE ARTIST of the YEAR by the 2012 INDIE MUSIC FEST Producers!
