During the last decade, Dr. Nafisa Abdullah has made several trips to her
native Afghanistan to share her skills as an Obstetrician Gynecologist in
various hospitals in Kabul, Panjshir and Mazare Sharif. She is currently a
Board and Medical Advisory Council member of EMERGENCY USA.

Since 1999 the NGO EMERGENCY

has treated more than 3.2 million
patients in Afghanistan

She has been a witness and an advocate for medical

interventions to meet the needs of women, mothers and
newborns -- all who are particularly vulnerable to the
threat of ongoing conflict
