I listened to Saying Thanks To My Ghosts by Amy Tan, I Am Still The Greatest by Muhammad Ali, and Finding Freedom In Forgiveness

by Jennifer Thompson. The reason I choose these essays is because the titles of each essay looked very interesting. I did not find Saying Thanks To My Ghosts interesting because I really could not relate to it. Finding Freedom in Forgiveness was not interesting, but I Am Still the Greatest was good because Muhammad Ali believed in himself and he did not let anything stop him from achieving his dreams. He did whatever it took to become the greatest of all time. The only writer I agreed with was Muhammad Ali. The reason I like the Muhammad Ali essay was because first of all I do believe that he is the greatest boxer of all times. I also think that I am something like him because I do believe in myself; I will not let anything stop me from becoming who I want to be. Just like Muhammad Ali I also have supportive parents who also believe in me, Anything I put my mind to I know that I can do it no matter what, I also think like him; whatever I do, I do believe that I am the best at it. I feel like I can relate to him. He followed his dreams of becoming the greatest of all times. I also liked it because his parents were there for him and they also had confidence in him. They said to him you can be the greatest at anything you do. What really grabbed my attention and made me want to listen to his essay was because I actually heard his voice, and because of how he chose his wife to read his essay aloud. I liked listening to this because to me it shows emotion.
