The toughest and final street circuit of the calendar year:

The eventful 14th grandprix of 2012 calendar was completed at marina bay street circuit, Singapore. The red bull driver Sebastian Vettel lead the podium on Sunday 23rd September, Leaving the championship wide open. As usual the whoping 309 Kms race distance with 61 laps and 23 curves was full of exciting moments. Where the safety cars were pulled on to duty for couple of times. Lewis Hamilton started the race with a clear lead while Williams Driver Pastor Maldonado was behind of 2 places from his start position after first 3 corners. It happened during the 23rd lap where Hamilton was having issues with the gearbox and forced to leave the car on track. That left Vettel in front of Button, Pastor Maldonado and Alonso until Narain Karthikeyan hit the wall on lap 33.The safety car was brought in for the first time when The Indian hit the wall under the tight infamous grandstand section that has caught out many drivers. The HRT machine slid a bit, but the right-front was damaged beyond repair and left his car in an immovable position. The re-start came on lap 39, but the cars raced for only half a lap before Michael Schumacher smashed into the back of Toro Rosso's Jean-Eric Vergne, who was battling with Sauber's Sergio Perez. It was the second time in succession Schumacher had retired in Singapore after running into the back of another car - and the second time this season after doing the same to Williams's Bruno Senna in the Spanish Grand Prix. After the safety car retire Sebastian Vettel sailed away to win for the second year in a row here at the Marina Bay circuit followed by Jenson Button and Fernando Alonso.
