GRAMATIC GRAMMAR Mai nti i dezvlui un secret: limba englez are o gramatic mai simpl dect limba romn. Spre exemplu, adjectivul smart-iste: She is a smart girl. He is a smart kid. They are smart people.

Trei verbe sunt foarte importante n construcia oricrei propoziii sau fraze n limba englez: to be, to have i to do, adic a fi, a avea i a face. Fiecare dintre ele poate ndeplini i funcia de verb auxiliar. Iat conjugarea lor la timpul prezent n propoziii:

to be
I am Minnie. Eu sunt Minnie. You are my friend. Tu eti prietenul meu. He is Alexander. El este Alexandru. She is Helen. Ea este Elena. It is our cat. Ea este pisica noastr. We are Mr. and Mrs. Edwards. Noi suntem dl. i d-na Edwards. You are my guests. Voi suntei musafirii mei. They are my students. Ei sunt elevii mei.

to have
I have a small cat. Eu am o pisic mic. You have a white horse. Tu ai un cal alb. He has a red car. El are o main roie. She has a big house. Ea are o cas mare. It has gray fur. Ea are blana gri. We have a little garden. Noi avem o gradin micu. You have a smart child. Voi avei un copil iste. They have beautiful flowers. Ei au flori frumoase.

to do
I do my homework. Eu mi fac tema pentru acas. You do your job. Tu i faci meseria. He does his duty. El i face treaba. She does her work. Ea i face munca. We do our lessons. Noi ne facem leciile. You do your shoppings. Voi v facei cumprturile. They do their tasks. Ei i ndeplinesc sarcinile.
