PROJECT ONE REVIEW WEBSITE

I was satisfied with my final website; I think it did turn out successful. I tried using different types of features such as videos, enquires, power points, etc. The information was understandable and I think it didnt bore my audience. On the other hand I think I could have improved maybe by making it more standing out and colorful. Also by adding more interactive buttons and finally posting twitter gadgets.

I ensured that my website was designed for the correct audience (bsq students) because I did not include any inappropriate information. I think it had good language for everyone to understand clearly and give them a proper idea to what digital citizenship means. I think my website is a productive place for people to learn because the information was displayed in different ways to entertain. For example the one I liked the most was doing the power point and then adding it to my website so it keeps on passing through and people can read. Also I think that students can reflect by enquires I made so I think that was productive as well.

The community building features I used were videos; I chose them because it made the website more interactive and fun. Nowadays students use to enjoy more watching than reading things so I thought it was a good idea to include them. I think they will be successful because theyll raise awareness but also give the students a laugh.

The improvements I would make if I had, had time would have been adding maybe face book or twitter gadgets so students could interact more through social networks. Also I would have liked to add linking pages to other websites so they could enjoy them as well. I could have created a video of myself to show the impacts of digital citizenship.

Overall I dont think nothing turned out wrong, most of it was successful. What I would do differently if I did the project again would be the layout of the webpage and the colors. More three dimensional with things standing out, some sort of games and interactive things like clicking zooming, moving around. Other alternative ideas could be posting your own ideas and comments. Students being able to upload their information so the webpage becomes a better place to learn from others ideas.
